What Is Affilorama?

Affilorama is an internet marketing training program and community that walks you through all of the aspects of making money with affiliate marketing.

It teaches you the entire process of picking a niche, building a website, and properly monetizing it in order to make money.

This is actually the way I make my living online, so I’m proof that it is possible to make money this way.

But is the training at Affiorama good enough to get you to that point?

Let’s go over some of the good and bad things about the program.

The Pros and Cons of Affilorama

Pros:

  • In depth training great for beginners
  • You can try out premium for just $1
  • They will host your websites
  • You can turn it into a full time job
  • 100 + training videos

Cons:

  • It’s a bit expensive for what it offers
  • You have to give payment information for trial
  • Some training that will hurt your website(I’ll explain later)
  • Up-sells

Who Will Benefit From Affilorama?

Affilorama will be beneficial to people with no experience in the affiliate marketing world, all of the way up through experienced marketers.

The training covers every step from building your website, hosting it, and getting your content seen.

If you don’t know anything about those kinds of things you still won’t have any problem working your way through the training.

What I Really Don’t Like

There are three major problems that I have with Affilorama.

  • Payment info required for premium trial
  • Use of PLR Articles
  • The Up-sells

This one isn’t that big of a deal however, it is something that just personally bugs me a bit.

If you want to give their premium membership a try, you will have to put in your credit card information to pay the $1 fee.

This means that if you do not cancel (or forget to) you will be charged $67 a month until you do cancel.

Personally I have lost quite a bit of money by signing up for free or cheap trials, and then forgetting to cancel.

Maybe I’m just an idiot, but this happened to me more times than I care to admit.

Now on to the PLR Articles Problem.

Using PLR articles is basically when you buy the rights to put someone else’s articles on your website.

The problem with this is that Google hates duplicate content and will penalize your website for it.

Google will be one of the main ways you get people to your website, so if they have a problem with you… It’s a pretty big deal.

If you do decide to join Affilorama, I strongly suggest you do not add these articles to your website.

The Up-sells

This problem with their platform is something that deserves an entire section all on it’s own.

The main problem is the fact that they have so many separate offers that it can be difficult to find out what you’re actually paying for.

Even if you are paying the $67 a month for premium you will still not get access to the following up-sells:

Up-sell #1: AffiloBlueprint 3.0 Membership ($197)

This is an additional one time fee on top of your regular $67 a month fee.

This up-sell comes with:

  • 13 different lessons
  • 85 training videos
  • 6 WordPress themes

Overall this content is helpful and may be worth the money.

Up-sell #2: Affilojetpack Membership($497)

This up-sell does include a whole bunch of helpful information and tools, but the price is high if you ask me.

  • 5 Niche Packages
  • 15 Newsletter Email Series
  • 3 eBooks per niche
  • Affilotheme
  • Niche Related Graphics
  • 20 PLR Articles (You should not use!)

Up-sell #3: Affilotheme ($97)

With this up-sell you will receive:

  • Affilotheme (a WordPress Theme)
  • Training videos about the theme
  • Access to a Private Forum
  • Tool to create graphics
  • One Year Hosting

Overall these up-sells will be beneficial to your success as an affiliate marketer, but I believe they should all be included in the premium membership.

There are other programs that give you everything they offer for one low price.

My Personal Thoughts

Even though their are a few things I dislike about Affilorama, I absolutely think it is a great program for people who want to learn how to make money with affiliate marketing.

I have been a bit critical on the program and that is mainly because I group it in the same category as my top ranked program Wealthy Affiliate.

Affilorama is actually the second best program that I have run across since I began reviewing online money making programs.

The training is incredibly in depth, and it is possible to turn your website into a full time income earning business with it.

It is important to keep in mind that it will take quite a bit of time and effort to see the results you are looking for.

Conclusion

Overall Affilorama offers incredibly good training, tools, and support that will be crucial to your online success.

Hark Ling has created a great training program that I will be recommending to my visitors from here on out.

There are a few problems with the program (as with any program) but I do believe it is worth the money.

Is Affilorama A Scam? The Ugly Truth

Is Affilorama A Scam?

If you’re like me, you do quite a bit of research about a program before you even spend a cent on it. That’s probably why you are here right now asking “is Affilorama a scam?”

Is Affilorama A ScamWhich is exactly what you should do, especially when you are thinking of purchasing an online money making program. (There are a lot of scams)

If you’ve been doing your research about Affilorama, you probably haven’t come across a single bad review.

There’s a couple of reasons for that.

For one, it’s actually a pretty good affiliate marketing training program. In fact as of now, there is only one other program that I like more than it.

That’s saying a lot considering the fact that I have literally reviewed hundreds of online money making programs.

The second reason you won’t see many bad reviews about it is because they pay quite a bit of money to you if you get someone else to sign up.

That’s the main reason why you won’t read anything bad about it.

That’s also why I’m here to tell you the complete honest truth about the program.

The Truth About Affilorama

While doing your research about Affilorama you’ve probably read a bunch of exaggerations that may have warped the reality of it a bit.

Many marketers will write reviews hyping a program up just to get you to sign up, then the program won’t meet your expectations.

Well hopefully I can prevent that by bringing you back down to Earth.

How Much Money You Can Make

Yes, after following the training you can absolutely make a ton of money online.

It is possible for anyone to reach the amounts of money that you see other affiliates making, however it takes lots of time and work.

Many reviews will basically say, “it’s great, just follow the training and you can make $10,000 + a month.”

What they neglect to tell you is that it is going to take a whole lot of time and effort to achieve that level of success.

It Takes Time

This is something that many reviews will graze over or just completely skip mentioning altogether.

The affiliates that you read about making $10,000 a month have been doing what they are doing for years, and they worked a long time before reaching that level.

It’s probably going to take you at least 3 months or so to even start seeing any money, and it will probably take you close to a year to start making a full time income.

Have Realistic Goals

I can’t tell you how often I see people who are just starting out online say their goal is to make $20,000 a month in the first year, but they’re only willing to put in 1 hour here or there.

It is possible to make that amount of money with affiliate marketing, but I guarantee that every person who makes that much has put in a significant amount of time and effort to reach it.

I’ve noticed that the people who focus on making their first dollar, or their first $100, or even $1000 are the ones who succeed.

If you focus on reaching $10,000 a month, you are going to get discouraged when you’ve been working for months and are only making $200 a month.

But if your goal was to make that first $100 a month, you will be ecstatic and motivated when you make $200.

What I Really Don’t Like

While I’ve already established that I do like Affilorama and think it is an overall good product, I really want to focus in on what I don’t like.

There are few main things I don’t like about the program.

First

The first problem I have is with the fact that within the membership they are selling a product called AffilioBlueprint for $197.

I just don’t like the fact that inside the members area, they are offering a separate program that basically makes the same promises as the membership itself.

AffiloramaSecond

I don’t like the way they have the $1 membership set up. You have to give them all of your payment information to pay the $1 to try it out.

The reason why this bugs me is the fact that they will charge you the $67 if you don’t manually go in and cancel it by the end of the month.

I’ve made this mistake with so many things that it’s not funny. I just always forget to cancel it, then get charged for something I didn’t want to pay for in the first place.

That’s one of the reasons I recommend Wealthy Affiliate over Affilorama, you don’t have to put in any payment information for their free starter membership.

Third

They tend to focus a lot on PLR articles, which are out of date and can actually hurt you website.

To make a long story short, that is when you purchase the Private Label Rights to certain content and then publish it as your own.

Google HATES this, and it can lead them to trust you site much less and send less traffic to you.

Google wants the unique and interesting content so they aren’t going to rank the same article if it’s on multiple different sites.

Conclusion

I didn’t write this article to hate on Affilorama, I wrote it to give you the most honest look at it as possible because you deserve that.

This article doesn’t really go into everything about the program because I’ve already done that in this review.

I suggest you at least give there free trial a go because they do offer a ton of fantastic information!

Is Affilorama a scam?

No it is definitely not a scam, however it is not as perfect as many marketers may want you to believe.

But keep in mind that no products are perfect, not even my top ranked program.
