Verdict: Legit
What Is Affilorama?
Affilorama is an internet marketing training program and community that walks you through all of the aspects of making money with affiliate marketing.
It teaches you the entire process of picking a niche, building a website, and properly monetizing it in order to make money.
This is actually the way I make my living online, so I’m proof that it is possible to make money this way.
But is the training at Affiorama good enough to get you to that point?
Let’s go over some of the good and bad things about the program.
The Pros and Cons of Affilorama
Pros:
- In depth training great for beginners
- You can try out premium for just $1
- They will host your websites
- You can turn it into a full time job
- 100 + training videos
Cons:
- It’s a bit expensive for what it offers
- You have to give payment information for trial
- Some training that will hurt your website(I’ll explain later)
- Up-sells
Who Will Benefit From Affilorama?
Affilorama will be beneficial to people with no experience in the affiliate marketing world, all of the way up through experienced marketers.
The training covers every step from building your website, hosting it, and getting your content seen.
If you don’t know anything about those kinds of things you still won’t have any problem working your way through the training.
What I Really Don’t Like
There are three major problems that I have with Affilorama.
- Payment info required for premium trial
- Use of PLR Articles
- The Up-sells
This one isn’t that big of a deal however, it is something that just personally bugs me a bit.
If you want to give their premium membership a try, you will have to put in your credit card information to pay the $1 fee.
This means that if you do not cancel (or forget to) you will be charged $67 a month until you do cancel.
Personally I have lost quite a bit of money by signing up for free or cheap trials, and then forgetting to cancel.
Maybe I’m just an idiot, but this happened to me more times than I care to admit.
Now on to the PLR Articles Problem.
Using PLR articles is basically when you buy the rights to put someone else’s articles on your website.
The problem with this is that Google hates duplicate content and will penalize your website for it.
Google will be one of the main ways you get people to your website, so if they have a problem with you… It’s a pretty big deal.
If you do decide to join Affilorama, I strongly suggest you do not add these articles to your website.
The Up-sells
This problem with their platform is something that deserves an entire section all on it’s own.
The main problem is the fact that they have so many separate offers that it can be difficult to find out what you’re actually paying for.
Even if you are paying the $67 a month for premium you will still not get access to the following up-sells:
Up-sell #1: AffiloBlueprint 3.0 Membership ($197)
This is an additional one time fee on top of your regular $67 a month fee.
This up-sell comes with:
- 13 different lessons
- 85 training videos
- 6 WordPress themes
Overall this content is helpful and may be worth the money.
Up-sell #2: Affilojetpack Membership($497)
This up-sell does include a whole bunch of helpful information and tools, but the price is high if you ask me.
- 5 Niche Packages
- 15 Newsletter Email Series
- 3 eBooks per niche
- Affilotheme
- Niche Related Graphics
- 20 PLR Articles (You should not use!)
Up-sell #3: Affilotheme ($97)
With this up-sell you will receive:
- Affilotheme (a WordPress Theme)
- Training videos about the theme
- Access to a Private Forum
- Tool to create graphics
- One Year Hosting
Overall these up-sells will be beneficial to your success as an affiliate marketer, but I believe they should all be included in the premium membership.
There are other programs that give you everything they offer for one low price.
My Personal Thoughts
Even though their are a few things I dislike about Affilorama, I absolutely think it is a great program for people who want to learn how to make money with affiliate marketing.
I have been a bit critical on the program and that is mainly because I group it in the same category as my top ranked program Wealthy Affiliate.
Affilorama is actually the second best program that I have run across since I began reviewing online money making programs.
The training is incredibly in depth, and it is possible to turn your website into a full time income earning business with it.
It is important to keep in mind that it will take quite a bit of time and effort to see the results you are looking for.
Conclusion
Overall Affilorama offers incredibly good training, tools, and support that will be crucial to your online success.
Hark Ling has created a great training program that I will be recommending to my visitors from here on out.
There are a few problems with the program (as with any program) but I do believe it is worth the money.
Affilorama is in fact a
